World renowned vocalist, teacher extraordinaire and one of Bulgarian Maser Singers Series beloved and most sought-after instructors, Nely Andreeva will deliver a 3-class immersion into Strandzha songs and melodic ornamentation. During March 13 class Nely will teach the emblematic song Prochu Se Strandzha Planina, a medium tempo song (intermediate level), followed on March 20 by the rubato song Muri, Maro (advanced level), and an overall review class on Mach 27 (available only with registration to one of the first 2 classes – either participatory on Zoom, audit+recording, or audit only level). Songs will be presented each in a separate class, with concentration on detailed ornamentation work for each song and building overall understanding and facility with Strandzha melodic ornaments, one of the most complicated in Bulgarian folk singing. The advanced level class will build upon the skills and knowledge gained in the first class of this in-depth Strandzha immersion series.
